Loke vs T.V. Commercials

Let me get entirley to the point of this rant; Television stations are becoming FAR too commercial to actually enjoy your program. Not that I actually watch T.V. anymore. How many people watch television programs with theme songs/opening introduction sequences? Yeah?

Well, the thing is, is that a title sequence is just another, cleverly diguised way for television producers to be lazy. Theme songs cut out, on avverage, 2 minutes from the overall show. Then you throw in another 4-9 minutes of commercials after the theme song ends!. Bear in mind that this is all right before the show has even started. Factor in another 11-17 minutes for the sommercial break in the middle (usually following a plot twist), and the storywriter has already wasted half the 30-minute timeframe right there!

Oh, and if you think you've felt cheated out of your television watching now. Because just as the orchestrated theme song end credits role by, they overvoice that with a sidebar commercial advertising the soap operah/R-rated horror movie that's comming up next (as if you already didn't know).

Beside that, the only other thing to watch is ESPN sports reviews, and reruns all day. It's no wonder Americans spend so much time watching YouTude. It makes perfect logical sense. No commercials, you can comment on videos, copy-and-paste them onto your blog page. And we've got "pop-up blocker" so, the computer is really starting to replace television as the #1 form of marketing. Like anyone pays attention to those banner and sidebar ads, advertising some insurance agency, online dating website, or MMORPG. The only ads that are worth paying attention to are the ones with the cool minigames in 'em. (Take THAT, you stupid duck.) Unfortunatly, winning a free iPod, Xbox 360, or iPhone isn't as easy as punching Senator John McCain in the face.

But that's another rant. For another time. I'm Locke, and this has been my 5-cents. Which, when compared to YOUR 5-cents is, like, 50 bucks. I'm Locke, by the way.

Well, here's a brief overview;

I don't watch television anymore because every station is laden with commercials and marketing. That's why so many viewers are turning to sites such as YouTube for sources of entertainment.

I can relate to that.. but it isn't just google...

just record it on DVR and then skip the commercials when you watch it duh
